Family Resources
Children's earliest experiences affect their future success in school and life. Washington state research demonstrates that 40% of children entering kindergarten do not have mastery of the social, emotional, physical and cognitive skills necessary for their success in school.
We offer support to parents, early learning professionals, and informal caregivers in the areas of child development, small business development, and professional development. Our work is key to 1) connecting families to high quality child care, parent education and community resources; 2) connecting licensed family and center child care providers to education, professional development, business & network opportunities, and advocacy support; 3) connecting informal child caregivers (relatives, neighbors, friends) to support with child development, school readiness, and community services; 4) advocating and educating about the importance of play and early learning opportunities; 5) and connecting business and community leaders with ways to invest in quality learning methods for young children.
