Child Care Resource and Referral
Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) works with parents/guardians, child care providers, businesses and community organizations to help promote the availability and quality of local child care services. This state-funded program serves nine counties in Eastern Washington: Spokane, Stevens, Lincoln and Pend Oreille, Whitman, Asotin, Garfield, Walla Walla and Columbia Counties.
CCR&R specialists provide parents with child care referrals and information on how to evaluate quality child care, plus resources on various parenting issues. They offer new or established child care providers access to valuable training and support services. CCR&R also assesses the supply and demand of child care in the community, and based on this data, work to increase the supply where needed.
Because Community-Minded Enterprises believes that early learning and the security of children are fundamental components of healthy families and communities, we advocate on a local and national level for better funding for children's programs, and for increasing the quality and quantity of child care available for working families in Eastern Washington.
